- Two special edition Panigale V4 models unveiled
- Get graphics inspired by race bikes
- Only 260 units of each will be produced
Ducati is celebrating its victories in the 2022 MotoGP and WorldSBK racing leagues by rolling out two special edition models of the Panigale V4. The year 2022 has proved to be a special year for the Italian brand as it won in MotoGP and WorldSBK both for the first time in history.
The two special-edition models are based on the Panigale V4 S and take inspiration from the Desmosedici GP and Panigale V4 R race machines ridden by the champions Francesco Bagnaia and Alvaro Bautista, respectively. Making them unique collectibles are several exotic elements on the visual and hardware front.
These motorcycles sport race machine-like liveries along with the original autograph of the champions on the fuel tank. Similar to race bikes, these offerings are available only with a single seat along with a billet aluminium upper clamp with laser engraving of the model name and the bike’s number. Notably, only 260 examples of each of these special bikes will be produced. This is in honour of 1926, the year the company was founded.
The list of extravagant components includes STM-EVO SBK dry clutch, lighter Akrapovic exhaust, Brembo brakes with Stylema callipers, Rizoma billet aluminium adjustable footpegs, and racing plexiglass. What’s more, a bunch of elements like the exhaust heat shield, alternator cover, and fenders are all made of carbon fibre. Also, the single-sided swingarm cover is a mix of carbon fibre and titanium.
Every owner of these bikes will get a certificate of authenticity, a custom bike cover and the Ducati Data Analyser. For those who want to rip these special-edition Panigale V4s on the race track, Ducati will provide them with additional accessories like a carbon fibre open clutch cover, license plate and mirror removal kits, and a billet aluminium racing fuel cap.
