Ducati has delivered the most expensive motorcycle in India, the 1299 Superleggera to a customer in India. This super-exclusive collector’s item was handed over to Vikram Oberoi at the Buddh International Circuit.
Known for its carbon fire chassis, sub-frame and wheels, the 1299 Superleggera is one of a kind. Only 500 units will ever be made and all of them have already been sold out. This Ducati is available only in red and white dual tone paint scheme which has been inspired from the Desmosedici prototype.
This exclusive Ducati is powered by a 1285cc Superquadro L-twin engine has been tuned to deliver 215bhp, and breathes out through an Akrapovic titanium race-spec exhaust system. In terms of electronics package, there’s six-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) that manages the rider aids like the traction control, slide control, launch control and cornering ABS. Suspension and braking setup has been supplied by Ohlins and Brembo respectively. The bike tips the scale at just 156kg taking the power to weight ratio to a whopping 1378bhp per tonne, which is more than the Koenigsegg Regera, an 1800bhp hypercar.
