Ducati has added another variant to the Desert X’s lineup called the Discovery edition. It has all the bells and whistles to make the bike an off-road and touring-friendly ADV. The list of accessories on the Ducati Desert X Discovery includes reinforced hand guards, engine guards and an aluminium sump guard.
But there is more. The Desert X Discovery also features heated grips, a taller visor, a centre stand, and aluminium panniers. All of this is topped by a new paint scheme of red with black and white. Overall, the Ducati Desert X always looked rugged and purposeful but now, with the addition of the aforementioned bits, it looks even better and ready to be ridden for longer durations.
Powering the Desert X Discovery is a 937cc, L-twin engine that makes 108bhp at 9,250rpm and 92Nm. It is linked to a six-speed gearbox and gets electronic rider aids such as ride modes, power modes, wheelie control, engine brake control, a bi-directional quickshifter, cruise control, and more.
It rides on 46mm fully adjustable USD front forks and a KYB fully adjustable monoshock at the rear. Meanwhile, the braking hardware comprises a dual 320mm front and a single 265mm rear disc mounted on 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheels, respectively.
The asking price for the Ducati Desert X Discovery is GBP 17,295 (approximately Rs. 18.22 lakh sans taxes). We expect Ducati India to announce the Desert X Discovery here soon.
