Ducati India has commenced the deliveries of the newly launched adventure-tourer motorcycle, the DesertX. This new offering from Ducati is an off-road biased touring motorcycle that is available in a single variant. The new DesertX is available at Rs 17.91 lakh (ex-showroom, India) and it rivals the likes of the Triumph Tiger 900 Rally, Honda Africa Twin, and BMW F850 GS in the Indian market.
The feature list on this new Ducati product comprises full-LED lighting and a Bluetooth-enabled five-inch TFT display as standard. Meanwhile, the electronic rider aids comprise six riding modes (Sport, Touring, Urban, Wet, Rally, and Enduro), four power modes (Full, High, Medium, and Low), cruise control, Bosch IMU, engine brake control, traction control, wheelie control, bidirectional quickshifter, and cornering ABS.
The mechanical specifications on the new Ducati DesertX includes the same 937cc, L-Twin, liquid-cooled engine as the latest generation Monster and Multistrada V2. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, this motor produces a maximum output of 110bhp at 9,250rpm and a peak torque of 92Nm at 6,500rpm.
