- Available in two variants (Standard and S)
- BS6-compliant engine makes 159.7bhp and 129Nm
Ducati has updated its Indian portfolio with the launch of the BS6-compliant Diavel 1260. The motorcycle will be available in two variants – Standard and S. The base model is available at Rs 18.49 lakh while the S variant retails at Rs 21.49 lakh.
The BS6-compliant model continues to use a 1,262cc, L-twin, Testastretta engine. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, the updated motor delivers 159.7bhp of power at 9,500rpm and 129Nm of peak torque at 7,500rpm.
The electronic rider aids, which work with a six-axis IMU, comprise cornering ABS, traction control, riding modes, power modes, launch control, wheelie control, and cruise control system. Standard features on both variants of the power cruiser include full-LED lighting and a Ducati Multimedia System-ready 3.5-inch colour TFT display.
While the motorcycle has received mechanical updates, the styling cues remain similar to its predecessor. Thus, the latest iteration of the Diavel 1260 power cruiser continues to feature a sleek headlight, a muscular fuel tank, radiator shrouds, under-cowl, compact exhaust canister, single-sided swingarm, and tyre hugger mounted numberplate.
The standard model will be available in a single colour option, Dark Stealth. The S variant, on the other hand, will be sold in two colours – Ducati Red and Thrilling Black.
The hardware on the standard model includes 50mm upside-down front forks, a rear mono-shock, and Brembo M4.32 callipers. The S variant, on the other hand, gets Ohlins-sourced suspension and Brembo M50 monobloc callipers.
