- Ducati Diavel 1260 BS6 teased
- Official India launch to take place soon
- Likely to remain majorly similar to the BS4 model
Ducati has released the teaser image of the 2021 BS6-compliant model of the Diavel 1260 ahead of its official launch in India. The changes aren’t going to be substantial over its BS4 counterpart that we had ridden in October last year. You can read our first ride review of the BS4 Diavel 1260 S here.
The ferocious-looking power cruiser design of the Diavel will be left untouched. With oodles of visual appeal and attention to detail, it is a true testimony to Italian’s design prowess. In the international markets, it’s available in standard and S variants both of which are expected to come here as well. Besides the mechanical distinctions, both trims get different shades for their frame; while the standard gets black-coloured chassis, the S model sports a swanky red unit.
The revised 1262cc, L-twin, Testastretta engine now churns out 157.3bhp of power and 129Nm of peak torque. To keep this power in check, there’s a comprehensive electronics package comprising six-axis IMU with cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, and cruise control. It also gets full-LED lighting and a 3.5-inch TFT display. The S variant of the bike gets more premium Ohlins suspension and Brembo M50 monobloc callipers while it is also a bit lighter than the base model at 247kg.
The BS4 edition of the Ducati Diavel 1260 S that we had ridden was priced at Rs 19.25 lakh (ex-showroom). Expect the BS6 model to be slightly more expensive with the standard trim to be around 2.5 lakh cheaper.
