- Ducati unveils 2020 colour options for the Diavel 1260
- Standard variant gets a new ‘Dark Stealth’ paint scheme
- S version receives the traditional ‘Ducati Red’ treatment
Ducati has unveiled the 2020 edition of its power cruiser, the Diavel 1260, at the Ducati World Premiere in Italy. The motorcycle has received new colour options for its standard and S trims, while remaining unchanged in all other aspects. The new paint schemes for 2020 include ‘Dark Stealth’ for the standard variant and ‘Ducati Red’ with white trims for the S version. These shades will be available alongside the existing colours including ‘Sandstone Grey’ (standard) and ‘Glossy/Matte Black’ (S).
Ducati had introduced the second-generation model of the Diavel at the EICMA show last year. It is major departure over its predecessor in all aspects including styling, hardware and engine. Justifying its power cruiser tag, the Diavel has a massive appeal with muscular and chiselled body panels, floating tail section and chunky set of tyres. The distinctive-looking LED headlamp is accompanied by horseshoe-shaped LED DRLs, self-cancelling turn indicators and split LED tail lamps. The motorcycle also features a 3.5-inch, Bluetooth-enabled TFT instrument cluster.
Ducati added the ‘1260’ suffix to the second-gen model which represents the increased displacement. The new 1262cc, L-twin motor is tuned to deliver 157bhp of power and 129Nm of torque. The intimidating power is kept in check with top-notch electronic aids including a six-axis IMU, optional quick shifter (standard on S variant), cornering ABS, eight-levels of traction control, eight-levels of wheelie control, launch control and a cruise control system.
Ducati will introduce the 2020 colour options for the Diavel 1260 from February 2020 in the international markets, followed by its India entry later.
