Ducati recently launched the second-generation of its power cruiser, the Diavel 1260 in India at Rs 17.70 lakhs. Apart from the Diavel, the Indian market offers four motorcycles in that price range. Here is what the grid looks like-
BMW R1250 GS Adventure
The Ducati Diavel 1260 is capable of doing highway speeds comfortably but if you want a motorcycle that can do that as well as tour long-distances and go off-road with ease, there is the BMW R1250 GS Adventure. The bike gets a massive 30-litre fuel tank, spoke wheels shod with dual-purpose tyres that add to its touring and off-road abilities. Powering the bike is a 1254cc boxer-twin engine that pumps out 132bhp and 143Nm and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. The BMW R1250 GS Adventure will cost you Rs 18.25 lakhs.
BMW S1000 XR
The BMW S1000 XR’s fascia is similar to that of the previous-gen S1000RR. However, it has a completely different purpose. The S1000 XR sports long-travel suspension, tall windscreen and an upright riding position that makes it fit perfectly in the adventure-touring segment. Moreover, the bike rides on 17-inch alloy wheels shod with road-biased tyres. It uses a 999cc, inline-four-cylinder motor which produces 159bhp and 114Nm. BMW has pegged the S1000 XR at Rs 17.65 lakhs.
BMW R nineT
The third motorcycle in this list of options also comes from BMW in the form of the R nineT which is priced at Rs 17.45 lakhs. It is built keeping the design of café racers in mind. Its round headlamps spoke wheels and aluminium highlights evoke a classic feel to the R nineT. The bike is powered by a 1170cc boxer-twin motor that produces 110bhp and 119Nm.
Aprilia Tuono 1100 V4
The Tuono 1100 V4 is the most powerful naked motorcycle in Aprilia’s line-up as it comes powered by a 1077cc, V4 engine that is capable of producing 175bhp and 121Nm. Although it skips the full-fairing, the Tuono 1100 sports an aggressive silhouette similar to the RSV4. The Italian manufacturer has priced the Tuono 1100 V4 at Rs 18.20 lakhs.
