Ducati has reintroduced the Diavel in India with the Diavel Diesel. The bike is priced at Rs 21.72 lakhs (ex-showroom, India) and will be available in 8 dealerships across the country.
The limited edition bike along with the standard Diavel was earlier discontinued as they were not BS-IV compliant. Although the Diavel Diesel is limited to 666 units globally, Ducati has not revealed the number of bikes assigned for India.
The Diavel Diesel is a collaboration between Ducati's design centre and Andrea Rosso, the director of Diesel Creative Licensing Centre. The bike is made to look exclusive and features hand-brushed stainless steel bits on some areas. The rivets and chassis welding are made more prominent to give the bike a raw appeal. Other bits like the tank cover, front cowl, passenger saddle cover and leather seat make the Diavel Diesel different from the standard bike.
The motorcycle continues to use a 1200cc L-Twin engine that produces 162bhp and 130.5Nm of torque; and is now BS4 compliant. The Ducati Diavel competes with the Triumph Rocket III Roadster and the Moto Guzzi Audace although the British bike is the only one here that currently does not meet BS-IV requirements.
