When you talk about a cruiser, the first picture that comes to mind is an old-school-styled, laid-back, low-stance motorcycle with a long-stroke engine. But that’s not the case with the Ducati Diavel V4. This bike is butch, muscular, has a big V4 engine in it and here is what it rides like.
One glance at the Ducati Diavel V4 is enough for you to realise it is a powerful motorcycle. The front profile, the overall dimensions, and the fat rear tyre are all indications of the Diavel being an extraordinary bike. Elements like its quad exhaust setup, single-sided swingarm, and floating rear seat give the Diavel a dash of distinctness.
Powering the Diavel V4 is a 1,158cc, V4 Granturismo mill and it makes 165bhp and 123Nm of torque. The motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox and benefits from a bi-directional quickshifter.
In the real world, the Diavel’s firepower is very evident as you start accelerating. The engine revs quicker than one would expect and can be intimidating. If you prefer riding the Diavel V4 in sports mode, then it will frighten you regardless of your years of riding experience. That said, riding this bike is a unique experience and one should give it a go.
The Diavel V4 oozes with premium-ness everywhere. From its build quality to the paint, the switches and even the nifty bits like the folding pillion footpeg, all give the Ducati a very expensive finish.
That said, the Ducati Diavel V4’s asking price is a staggering Rs. 32 lakh, which isn’t ordinary by any chance. So should you spend so much money on purchasing the Diavel V4? Read our first ride review to find out.
