Ducati unveiled its new supermoto range – the Hypermotard 939, the Hypermotard 939 SP and the Hyperstrada 939 at 2015 EICMA Show. While all three bikes are a part of the same family, we are going to bring you a detailed picture gallery of the Hypermotard 939 in this article.
The new Hypermotard 939 retains the same design philosophy of the outgoing model but gets few interesting changes. It sports a compact and lightweight headlamp assembly.
The bike utilises a new 937 Testastretta L-Twin engine that produces 113bhp at 9000rpm and peak torque of 97Nm at 7500rpm. This heart is mated to a six-speed gearbox.
The Hypermotard 939 suspensions have a 43mm diameter upside-down Kayaba fork with 170 mm travel and a Sachs shock absorber with adjustable rebound damping, providing 150 mm wheel travel.
With a dry weight of 181 kg, the bike is quite agile in all riding conditions. Seat height stands at 850mm, but there is an option to add 20mm of extra padding as a part of Ducati’s performance accessory.
It is equipped with the Ducati Safety Pack which includes a three level ABS, eight levels of Ducati Traction Control and three riding modes.
The bike is equipped with a hazard light function, which is activated by holding the left-turn signal button on for four seconds.
There are also two 12 V power sockets, designed to power navigation instruments. It has a very detailed instrumentation that displays tons of riding information.
The Ducati Hypermotard is available with two colour options – red and star white silk. Ducati will launch this bike in India in next year.
