Ducati Hypermotard 950 BS6 launched in India at Rs 12.99 lakh

Ducati India has announced the launch of the new Hypermotard 950 BS6 in our market with ex-showroom prices starting from Rs 12.99 lakh onwards. Internationally, the Hypermotard range comprises three variants – Hypermotard 950, Hypermotard 950 RVE, and Hypermotard 950 SP. The Indian market gets the SP and the RVE variants. Hypermotard 950 RVE: Rs 12.99 lakh

Hypermotard 950 SP: Rs 16.24 lakh

Ducati Hypermotard 950 Head Light

Both variants of the Hypermotard range use a BS6-compliant, 937cc, Ducati Testastretta 11-degree V-twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that delivers 112.4bhp of maximum power at 9,000rpm and 96Nm of peak torque at 7,250rpm. The motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox.

Standard features across the range include a twin under-seat exhaust setup, minimal bodywork, a trellis frame, a trellis sub-frame, a wide handlebar, knuckleguard-integrated LED blinkers, a flat seat, and 17-inch wheels. The range-topping, SP variant gets Marchesini forged wheels, a carbon-fibre front mudguard, and a carbon-fibre timing belt cover.

The feature list comprises LED lighting, a 4.3-inch TFT display, tapered aluminium handlebar, removable passenger footpegs, and a USB power socket. The electronic rider aids include Bosch six-axis inertial platform, riding modes, power modes, cornering ABS, traction control, and wheelie control.

The suspension setup on the RVE variant includes fully-adjustable 45mm Marzocchi upside-down front forks and a preload and rebound damping-adjustable Sachs rear mono-shock. The more premium SP variant uses Ohlins-sourced 48mm upside-down front forks and an Ohlins rear mono-shock – both fully adjustable. The braking setup across the range includes twin rotors at the front and a single disc at the back.
