Ducati has unveiled the Hypermotard 950 RVE for global markets. The motorcycle could be launched in India and be positioned above the base model which is priced at Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Here we bring to you details of the Ducati Hypermotard 950 RVE through this image gallery.
The Hypermotard 950 RVE is based on the standard model and sits below the top-spec Hypermotard 950 SP that is available in international markets.
However, the RVE differentiates itself with its two-tone, black and red colour scheme and the bold ‘Hyper’ graphics that adorn the fuel tank. This has been inspired by the Hypermotard 950 Concept showcased at the 2019 Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este.
Furthermore, the colour scheme features on the flat, motocross-like seat and rims as well that give the Hypermotard 950 RVE a custom look.
The changes are not limited to cosmetic changes and the RVE also comes equipped with an up and down quick shifter as standard. Notably, it is offered as an accessory on the standard model.
As for electronics, the Hypermotard 950 RVE gets the same 4.3-inch TFT screen with the Ducati Multimedia System as the standard model. The rider aids consist of cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control along with three riding modes.
Powering the motorcycle is a 937cc, L-twin motor that produces 112bhp at 9,000rpm and 96Nm of torque at 7,250rpm. It comes mated to a six-speed gearbox and slipper clutch.
Suspension and braking hardware on the Hypermotard 950 RVE has been borrowed from the standard model. It uses 17-inch wheels at both ends with Marzocchi-sourced forks upfront and a monoshock at the rear from Sachs. Meanwhile, braking is done by 320mm discs with Brembo calipers for the front and a 245mm disc at the back also with a Brembo caliper.
