The new Ducati Hypermotard 950 SP went on sale in India and is positioned as the most feature rich variant of the bike. Known for its hooliganism igniting nature, the Hypermotard 950 SP should appeal to those who want a bike that acts like a shot of adrenaline. Here are some of the images of the bike.
The design of the bike is one of its biggest draws. It sticks to the Hypermotard formula to the T and all the body panels on the bike are designed to be aesthetically pleasing yet purposeful. As in, there’s no extra fat.
That’s pretty evident in the narrow fuel tank, the long beak and the slim tail section. Much of the frame and the subframe is left exposed and it adds to the visual appeal of the bike. Being an SP variant, it gets a special paint scheme and carbon fibre parts.
Powering the bike is a 937cc, L-twin engine that makes 114bhp and a peak torque of 96Nm. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox.
There are a lot of electronics onboard to keep the hooliganism in check. It has a multi level traction control, wheelie control and ride modes.
In terms of the hardware, the trellis frame is suspended by an adjustable Ohlins USD fork and an Ohlins monoshock. The bike rides on 17-inch wheels shod with Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tyres. Braking duties, meanwhile, are taken care of by two 320mm front discs and a 245mm disc at the rear.
