The Indian market is finally getting the most anticipated Ducati XDiavel tomorrow. After its global unveil at EICMA 2015, the XDiavel saw a lot interest from the Indian consumers.
The bookings for the XDiavel and the XDiavel S had already begun a couple of weeks ago by paying a token amount of Rs 1 lakh. In fact, most of the XDiavels from the first lot have already been sold out and the Italian manufacturer is in the process of procuring more units from its Thailand plant. Priced at Rs 15.56 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai), the XDiavel will compete with the Harley-Davidson cruisers, especially the Fat Bob.
The XDiavel is Ducati’s first belt driven cruiser, which is built around a new steel tubular trellis frame. The ergonomics have been completely revised to offer a more laid back riding position. At the heart of the XDiavel is a 1262cc Testastretta L-Twin engine, which delivers 155bhp and 129Nm of torque to the rear wheel. Just like the rest of the Ducatis, the XDiavel is also loaded with electronics like cornering ABS, traction control, rider modes and a launch control system. The XDiavel S gets full LED lighting with DRLs, infotainment system and a Bluetooth module. It also sports machined finish on the engine belt cover, mirrors, and alloy wheels. The front calipers on the XDiavel is Brembo M50, instead of the M4-32.
