- Supersport, Supersport S will be recalled in India
- airbox blow-by and fuel tank overfill hoses may be routed too close to the exhaust manifold
Ducati India is in the process of organsing a recall campaign in the country for the SuperSport models over a potential fire issue.
As per the Italian maker, the airbox blow-by and fuel tank overfill hoses may be routed too close to the exhaust manifold. This routing may cause the hoses to melt, increasing the risk of fire. Ducati has received three instances of such issue in three different countries. At idle speed the rider could see smoke and smell burning rubber coming from the area by the lower left side of the fairing.
The Indian arm hasn't revealed the exact number of bikes that are affected in the country but did give out a statement.
“Recall campaign is just announced and we have few vins affected in India. We are informing this recall to MoRTH and SIAM. Soon there be official announcement from Ducati India.” - Sergi Canovas, MD of Ducati India.
