The wait for the Ducati Monster 1200 fans and enthusiasts in United Kingdom is over. The new superbike is now available at all Ducati dealerships in the UK. The much-awaited motorcycle’s main highlight is a derived 1198 Testastretta 11 degrees DS engine and it features an innovative adjustable seat.

The higher spec Monster 1200S features Ohlins suspension and carbon fibre parts. The motorcycles have a comfortable seat that can be adjusted according to the needs of any rider.
The Monster 1200 is powered by a 1200cc liquid cooled engine that churns out 135bhp and 118Nm of torque. This motor is mated to a six-speed sequential gearbox. The Monster 1200S is powered by the same mill also dubbed the Testastretta engine. However, this motorcycle has an increased output of 145bhp.
Both, the Monster 1200 and the Monster 1200S, have already been acclaimed for their performance and fluid engine. They boast premium components that are fully integrated with Ducati’s latest technologies. The Ducati Monster 1200 is priced at £10,695 (Rs 10.86 lakh), while the 1200S will cost £12,995 (Rs 13.2lakh) in the UK. Ducati has provided buyers with a TriOptions finance scheme that allows prospective buyers to pay just £129 (Rs 13,000) a month to take home their new motorcycle.
The first Ducati Monster was unveiled 21years ago and the manufacturer has made many changes ever since then. Unfortunately the situation back here in India is saddening that Ducati is still not officially present in India. But the good news is that Ducati has recently announced that they will go solo for sales and after sales service in our country.
The motorcycles from Ducati’s portfolio are currently being imported from Italy to India through Precision Motors. With both the organisations working to get Ducati an official entry into the Indian market, we can expect that the Monster 1200 to be the first model to arrive after the brand’s official entry. This might also ease a customer’s process of buying a Ducati motorcycle in our country.
