The Ducati Monster 797 has been launched at an introductory price of ₹ 7.77 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and will come to India via the CBU route.
The bike is powered by an 803cc air-cooled L-twin engine that generates 74bhp of power at 8,250 rpm and 69Nm of torque at 5,750 rpm.
Monster 797 retains most of its design elements from the Monster 821 as it continues to be offered with a trellis frame and wide handlebars. The bike also features a 16.5-litre fuel tank.
It features an upside down Kayaba fork up front and a Sachs rear mono shock with a double-sided aluminium swingarm. Sitting on 17-inch wheels, the Monster has a seat height of 805mm.
The bike uses 4-piston Brembo Monobloc callipers for the front wheel, while the rear gets a 245mm Brembo disc with a single piston floating caliper. ABS has been offered as standard on the motorcycle.
The 797's LED headlamps are borrowed from the Monster 821.
The Ducati Monster 797 will be available in three colour combinations - white with red frame and wheels, the classic Ducati red with black frame and wheels, and ‘dark stealth’ with black frame and wheels.
