Ducati has launched the Monster 797 Plus in India with a price tag of Rs 8.03 lakhs (ex-showroom, India). The 797 Plus retails at the same price as the standard Monster 797 and will be the only variant on sale in the country.
The Monster 797 Plus gets a fly screen and pillion seat cowl that are colour coordinated with the fuel tank and front fender, as standard. These accessories can also be retrofitted on the standard Monster 797 for around Rs 36,000. Apart from these changes, the 797 Plus remains the same as the standard bike. The smallest motorcycle in the Monster range derives styling inspiration from its bigger siblings, the Monster 821 and Monster 1200. It gets an aggressive streetfighter stance along with a muscular tank and exposed trellis frame.
The bike is powered by an 803cc, L-twin engine that produces 72bhp and 67 Nm of torque. The Monster 797 faces competition from the Triumph Street Triple S and the Kawasaki Z900 in India.
