The Ducati Monster is now available at a special price of Rs 10.99 lakh, ex-showroom, India. The street naked motorcycle was priced at Rs 12.95 lakh, prior to the roll out of this special price. The offer, however, is only valid till 31 July and subject to terms and conditions, and till stocks last.
With close to Rs 2 lakh off, the Ducati Monster sits a lot closer to its competition like the Triumph Street Triple R that’s priced at Rs 10.17 lakh, ex-showroom. The Kawasaki Z900, on the other hand, continues to be the most affordable bike in the segment with an ex-showroom price of Rs 9.38 lakh.
The Ducati Monster, however, brings a unique flavour to the table. It is the only L-twin engine in this trio and that gives it a unique sound, feel and character. The 937cc Testastretta engine makes 111bhp at 9,250rpm and 93Nm at 6,500rpm. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox that has a quick shifter as standard.
Its design is sleeker and more compact than its predecessor, with its neatly shaped fuel tank, oval headlight and slim tail grabbing attention. Under the bodywork, you’ve got an aluminium frame with a 43mm, non-adjustable USD fork and a monoshock.
As is the case with most modern Ducatis these days, the bike has a comprehensive electronics suite that includes ride modes, traction control and cornering ABS.
The Ducati Monster is available in available in two colours - Ducati Red and Iceberg White
