- DucatiMonster BS6 bookings open across India
- Makes 111bhp and 93Nm
- Indian launch date unavailable yet
Ducati India has commenced the bookings of the upcoming Monster BS6 ahead of its launch in our market. Interested buyers can reserve a unit of the new Monster BS6 at a Ducati dealership near them. While the company has started the booking process, it is yet to announce a launch date for the motorcycle.
The BS6-compliant model, which replaces the Monster 821 in the company’s portfolio, will use a 937cc, Testastretta L-twin, liquid-cooled engine. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, the motor will deliver 111bhp of power at 9,250rpm and 93Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm.
Apart from the mechanical revisions, the 2021 model will also benefit from styling upgrades over its predecessor. The 2021 model is leaner than its predecessor and it packs an oval-shaped headlight, a sharp design for the fuel tank, rear panels, and the upswept exhaust with a slash-cut design. The colour choices for the international model include Ducati Red, Dark Stealth, and Aviator Grey with GP Red wheels. The company’s latest teaser confirmed the Aviator Grey paint with GP Red wheels for the Indian market.
The new Monster BS6 will pack full-LED lighting and a Bluetooth-ready 4.3-inch TFT display as standard. The Bluetooth module, however, will be available as an optional accessory. The electronic rider aids on the Monster BS6 will include three riding modes (Sport, Urban, and Touring), wheelie control, traction control, ABS, cornering ABS, launch control, and a quickshifter.
