Prices of the Ducati Monster series have been leaked ahead of their official launch in India. Our sources indicate that Ducati will be bringing eight Monster models to the Indian market, with prices starting at Rs 6.98 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) for the entry-level Monster 795.
The eight Monster motorcycles headed for India include four major models and their special editions. The Monster 795 will be the most affordable motorcycle in Ducati’s line-up and will sit below the Monster 796 S2R and the Monster 796 ABS Corse Stripe models. All three models are powered by an air-cooled 803cc L-Twin engine, which churns out 87bhp and 78Nm of torque through a six-speed transmission. Next in the hierarchy are the brand new Monster 821 and the Monster 1200 models, which made their global debut last year.
The aggressive pricing of the low-end Monster models indicate that they are going to be imported from Thailand in semi knocked down (SKD) form. We expect these models to officially go on sale in the next few weeks.
