Ducati India has slashed the price of the Monster by Rs 2 lakh, with the ex-showroom, Delhi price now standing at Rs 10.99 lakh as opposed to Rs 13.05 lakh previously. The price of Monster Plus, the one above the standard, is Rs 11.19 lakh after factoring in the discount. The offer does not apply to the top-spec Ducati Monster SP that retails at Rs 15.95 lakh.
The new prices of the Ducati Monster are effective till January 31 only.
The Ducati Monster is the company’s street naked bike that’s powered by a 937cc, liquid-cooled, L-twin engine that makes 109.96bhp and 93Nm. The bike feels light, agile and is pretty entertaining to ride. Its compact design makes it easy to manage but Ducati Monster purists will argue that it lacks the visual mass of the Monster 821, its predecessor.
The Monster Plus is a mid-spec bike and it gets a windscreen and pillion seat cowl as the differentiator between itself and the base Monster. The Monster SP gets better components in the form of adjustable suspension, Ohlins suspension, Thermignoni exhaust and Brembo Sylema Calipers.
The Ducati Monster rivals the Triumph Street Triple R and RS.
