Ducati was one of the first motorcycle manufacturers to introduce the ingenious concept of dual-sport motorcycles, with the Multistrada. For 2015, the Italian manufacturer has unveiled the new updated version of the Multistrada 1200 S motorcycle, with a few cosmetic updates and a new electronics package.
The Ducati Multistrada 1200 S continues to be powered by the 1200cc Testastretta DVT V-twin engine, which churns out 147bhp and 119Nm of torque. The popular adventure touring motorcycle gets LED cornering lights, a technology which is still new for four-wheelers. The electronics package now includes ‘cornering ABS’ and Ducati Multimedia System. It is now available with four personalisation packages - Touring, Sport, Urban and Enduro.
While the Multistrada 1200 S retails at USD 19,700 (Rs 12.26 lakh) in the US market, rumours suggest that the motorcycle will be launched in the Indian market with a price tag of Rs 16.59 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
