Ducati has revealed another entrant into the Multistrada 1260 family; the 1260 Enduro.
The bike follows the design language of the standard model although with a few additional changes to make it off-road capable. It gets knuckle guards and a redesigned engine guard as standard. Similar to the previous model, the 1260 Enduro rides on spoke wheels; 19-inch front and 17-inch rear although they are 2kg lighter than before and are wrapped in Pirelli Scorpion Trail II rubber.
The Multistrada 1260 Enduro is powered by a 1262cc, L-twin engine that puts out 153bhp and 129Nm of torque. It is mated to a six-speed gearbox and the Ducati Quick Shift (DQS). Its electronics package consists of cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control and hill-start control.
The Multistrada 1260 Enduro borrows its full-colour, 5-inch TFT display from the Panigale V4. Suspension duties are taken care of by semi-active Sachs suspension for the front and rear while braking is done by Brembo calipers on both ends.
The bike also features a 30-litre fuel tank; 5-litres larger than the standard model. Ducati has also revised the ergonomics of the Multistrada with a lower seat height and centre of gravity. It is offered in two colours- red and brown. We expect the bike to arrive in India sometime next year. It will compete with the BMW R1200 GS Adventure and Triumph 1200.
