-Offers more off-road riding features
-Expected to be priced around Rs 18 lakhs
Ducati will launch the Multistrada 1260 Enduro in India on 9 July. The manufacturer has revealed this on its social media networks.
The Multistrada 1260 Enduro is based on the Multistrada 1260 that is on sale in India. It gets additions to make it more capable for off-road riding. To begin with, the Enduro sports a lower centre of gravity, knuckle guards and a redesigned engine guard. Then there are the spoke wheels; 19-inch front and 17-inch rear which are 2kg lighter than the ones on the Multistrada 1200 and are shod with Pirelli Scorpion Trail II tyres. It also features a 30-litre fuel tank which has 5 litres larger than the standard variant.
Powering the Multistrada 1260 Enduro is a 1262cc, L-Twin motor that produces 153bhp of power and 129Nm of torque. The unit is mated to a six-speed gearbox with a quick-shifter. The bike’s electronic package includes a 5-inch TFT display, cornering ABS, wheelie control, hill-start control and traction control. In terms of cycle parts, the Multistrada 1260 Enduro rides on semi-active Sachs suspension setup on both ends while braking is done by Brembo callipers for the front and rear.
The Multistrada 1260 Enduro is likely to be sold in two colours- Ducati Red and 'Sand'. We expect it to be priced at a premium of Rs 2 lakhs over the Multistrada 1260 which costs Rs 15.95 lakhs (ex-showroom). The motorcycle will compete against the BMW R 1250 GS Adventure and Triumph Tiger 1200 in the country.
