- Gets touring package
- Same engine as the Multistrada 1260 S
- Could arrive in India in the first half of 2020
Ducati unveiled the Panigale V2 and the new Panigale V4 at the World Premiere. And along with its supersport range, the manufacturer also took the wraps off a new Multistrada 1260 variant called the Multistrada 1260 S Grand Tour.
The Grand Tour variant is based on the Multistrada 1260 S and with slight cosmetic changes and additional equipment to make it, even more, touring friendly. To begin with, it gets the Ducati Touring Pack which includes side panniers, taller windscreen, LED fog lights, heated grips and a tyre pressure monitoring system as standard. The Multi Grand Tour also comes fitted with a centre stand and plush seats for the rider and pillion.
Furthermore, the bike is adorned in metallic silver and black paint with a bright red trellis frame and highlights on the side panels and rims. And that’s all that’s different from the Multistrada 1260 S. The Grand Tour continues to run a 1262cc, Testastretta DVT engine that churns out 153bhp and 129Nm of torque. The electronics package includes a two-way quick shifter, cornering ABS, eight-level wheelie and traction control, hill hold assist, and cruise control.
The Multistrada 1260 S Grand Tour sits just below the top-of-the-line Multistrada 1260 Pikes Peak and will be available in global markets by end of this month. We can expect the motorcycle to be introduced in India by the first half of 2020.
