Ducati India has confirmed that it will update its product portfolio with the launch of the BS6-compliant Multistrada 950 S on 2 November, 2020. The company has also announced the start of the pre-booking process for the motorcycle ahead of its launch. Interested buyers can pre-book the new Multistrada 950 S for an initial amount of Rs 1,00,000. Ducati India stated in its press announcement that the deliveries of the Multistrada 950 S will begin in the first week of November 2020.
The Multistrada 950 S gets higher-spec hardware such as electronic suspension with Ducati Skyhook Suspension Evo (DSS) system, Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) up & down, a full-LED headlamp with Ducati Cornering Lights (DCL), a five-inch colour TFT display, Hands-Free System, Cruise Control, and the backlit handlebar controls. The safety net on the adventure tourer comprises of selectable riding modes, Bosch ABS Cornering, Ducati Traction Control, and Vehicle Hold Control.
The Ducati Multistrada 950 series is powered by a Euro5/BS6-compliant 937cc, Testastretta, L-Twin, liquid-cooled motor that produces 111bhp at 9,000rpm and 96Nm of peak torque at 7,750rpm. The engine is paired to a six-speed gearbox.
The BS4-compliant Multistrada 950 was sold for Rs 12,84,000 (ex-showroom Delhi). The S variant, with its premium hardware, will most likely carry a substantial price premium over the old model.
