The Ducati Multistrada 950 S will make its debut in India on 2 November. With just under a week left before its launch, we tell you what to expect from the adventure-touring motorcycle.
Styling
Ducati sold the standard Multistrada 950 in India in its BS4/Euro4-compliant form. And in terms of design, the Multistrada 950 S remains the same as the standard model. However, it is available in a tri-tone colour scheme that sets it apart. This livery, which Ducati calls ‘GP White’, consists of black and white as the main colours with grey highlights. The touch of red on its side panel and the red frame add a hint of sportiness to the Multistrada 950 S.
Features
As compared to the Multistrada 950, the higher-spec Multistrada 950 S comes with additional features and premium hardware to set it apart. To begin with, the adventure motorcycle is equipped with Ducati’s Skyhook Suspension. It also gets cornering lights and the Ducati Multimedia System that is integrated into the five-inch TFT display. Furthermore, it also gets riding modes, cornering ABS, traction control, and Vehicle Hold Control.
Engine
The Ducati Multistrada 950 S is powered by a Euro5/ BS6 compliant 937cc, L-twin ‘Testastretta’ DVT engine that churns out 113bhp and 96Nm like the standard model. However, unlike the former which only gets a slipper clutch, the 950 S comes with Ducati QuickShift Evo as standard.
Pricing
Now the standard Ducati Multistrada 950 was priced at Rs 12.84 lakh in India. Given the additional equipment and features the Multistrada 950 S comes with, we can expect it to cost around Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom). It will take on the BMW F850 GS and Triumph Tiger 900 in the country.
