- Ducati Multistrada 950 S priced at Rs 15.49 lakh
- Gets top-spec hardware and technology
- Available in two colours
Ducati has launched the Multistrada 950 S in India with a price tag of Rs 15.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
The adventure-touring motorcycle is now BS6 compliant and will be followed by the BS6-compliant standard Multistrada 950 soon. In terms of design, both motorcycles are similar and take inspiration from the bigger Multistrada 1260. However, the 950 S is offered in a tri-tone GP White livery that sets it apart visually. This colour scheme consists of black and white with red and grey highlights. Apart from this, the Multistrada 950 is also offered in Ducati Red.
Furthermore, the higher-spec ‘S’ variant is equipped with additional features and premium hardware that justify its pricing. For starters, the Multistrada 950 S is equipped with Ducati’s electronic Skyhook Suspension. It also sports cornering lights and a five-inch TFT display that is integrated with the Ducati Multimedia System. Ducati is also offering the Multistrada 950 S with four fully-adjustable riding modes- Sport,Touring, Urban, and Enduro along with cornering ABS, traction control, and Vehicle Hold Control.
Powering the Ducati Multistrada 950 S is a 937cc, L-twin ‘Testastretta’ DVT engine that churns out 113bhp and 96Nm just like the standard model. And while the standard 950 gets a slipper clutch, the 950 S comes with Ducati QuickShift Evo as standard. It rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels shod with Pirelli Scorpion Trail 2 tyres.
Bookings for the Ducati Multistrada 950 S have already begun across India with deliveries to commence soon. In terms of competition, the motorcycle will go up against the BMW F 850 GS and the Triumph Tiger 900 GT in the country.
