Ducati has announced the launch of the new Multistrada V4 range in the Indian market. The motorcycle is available in two variants (standard and S) in the country with prices starting from Rs 18.99 lakh onwards. Ducati India recently showcased its flagship adventure tourer at the newly inaugurated dealership in Pune, and here we bring you a detailed image gallery of the motorcycle from the showroom.
The latest iteration of the Italian adventure tourer features a similar silhouette as its predecessor, and it is instantly recognisable as a member or the Multistrada family. The new model, however, gets revised proportions and compactness as compared to its predecessor.
The styling cues include a twin-pod headlight, a semi-fairing design, a large fuel tank, split seats, a signature look for the tail lamps, and a double-sided swingarm. The motorcycle is built around an aluminium monocoque frame and it rides on 19-inch front/17-inch rear wheels.
The instrument cluster on the standard Multistrada V4 includes a five-inch colour TFT display. The more premium V4 S, on the other hand benefits from a 6.5-inch display (pictured).
Standard electronic aids include cornering ABS, Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC), and Ducati Traction Control (DTC) system. The S variant also gets cornering lights, vehicle hold control, cruise control system, Ducati Multimedia System, electronically adjustable Ducati Skyhook Suspension (DSS) system with Autoleveling function, and a bidirectional quick-shifter.
The new Multistrada V4 is also the first motorcycle in the Indian market to receive radar-based Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Blind Spot Detection (BSD) system. The radar-based technology is available on the Multistrada V4 S.
Mechanical specifications on both models include a BS6-compliant 1,158cc, four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 168bhp of power at 10,000rpm and 125Nm of peak torque at 8,750rpm. The motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox.
The oil change interval is scheduled for every 15,000km. The valve clearance check and eventual adjustment, on the other hand, are required every 60,000km.
The Multistrada V4 is only available in Ducati Red while the Multistrada V4 S variant can be bought in two paint options – Ducati Red and Aviator Grey. The base model is available at Rs 18.99 lakh while the Ducati Red shade of the S variant has been priced at Rs 23.10 lakh. The Aviator Grey colour is available at a marginally higher price tag of Rs 23.30 lakh.
