Ducati has updated its Philippine portfolio with the launch of the new Multistrada V4. The first batch of the ADV tourers, which will come without the new radar-based technology, will be limited to just 10 units and it will be available at PHP1,710,000 (Rs 25.92 lakh). The range-topping version, on the other hand, will be priced at PHP1,920,000 (Rs 29.10 lakh). The launch details for the range-topping Multistrada V4 for the Philippine market are yet to be revealed.
Globally, the Multistrada V4 is available in three variants – V4, V4 S, and the V4 S Sport. The overall silhouette of the new Multistrada V4 is similar to its predecessor, although the design has received noticeable changes. The new model packs revised proportions and compactness. The feature list on the motorcycle includes a twin-pod headlight, adjustable windscreen, a 22-litre fuel tank, and split-style seats. The motorcycle is built around an aluminium monocoque frame and it rides on 19-inch front/17-inch rear wheels. The new Ducati Multistrada also gets a double-sided swingarm.
The new Multistrada V4 series is powered by a new 1,158cc, 90-degree V-layout, four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 168bhp at 10,000rpm and 125Nm of peak torque at 8,750rpm. The motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox.
The electronic package on the standard Multistrada V4 include cornering ABS, Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC), and Ducati Traction Control (DTC). The Multistrada V4 S further benefits from Vehicle Hold Control (VHC), Ducati Cornering Lights (DCL), and the semi-active Ducati Skyhook Suspension (DSS) control system with Autoleveling function.
