- Priced at Rs 31.48 lakh
- Features Pikes Peak livery
- Gets hardware updates
Ducati India has launched the new Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak in our market at an ex-showroom (India) price tag of Rs 31.48 lakh. This is the sportiest iteration of the Multistrada V4 range and it gets several upgrades over the standard motorcycle.
In terms of styling, the new Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak retain the design of the standard motorcycle. Thus, it continues to use a twin-pod headlight, semi-fairing, adjustable windscreen, split-style seats, and a side-slung exhaust. However, this variant is distinguished from the standard Multistrada V4 through its dedicated 'Pikes Peak' livery, a shorter windscreen, a 17-inch wheel setup on both ends, and a single-sided swingarm. The Marchesini forged aluminum rims are 2.7kg lighter than the units on the Multistrada V4S.
The hardware, too, gets updates and Ducati has revised the aluminum monocoque frame to achieve a different inclination of the steering head (25.75-degrees as compared to the 24.5-degrees of the Multistrada V4). The suspension duties are handled by 48mm Ohlins front forks and an Ohlins TTX36 rear mono-shock that work with the Ohlins Smart EC 2.0 electronic adjustment system. The braking duties are handled by 330mm semi-floating discs with radially mounted Brembo Stylema monobloc four-piston two-pad callipers at the front and a single 265mm single rotor with a Brembo two-piston floating calliper at the back. Then, this model also gets revised ergonomics. The footpeg position is higher and rear-set while the handlebar is lower and narrower than the Multistrada V4S.
The feature list comprises LED lighting, Bluetooth-enabled 6.5-inch TFT display, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), and Blind Spot Detection (BSD) functionality. It also retains electronic rider aids such as riding modes, power modes, cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, daytime running light, cornering light, and vehicle hold control from the standard motorcycle.
The mechanical specifications include the same 1,158cc, 90-degree-V4 cylinder, liquid-cooled engine from the standard model. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, the motor makes 167.6bhp at 10,500rpm and 125Nm of peak torque at 8,750rpm.
