The Ducati Multistrada V4 RS has just gone on sale in India and it grabs the mantle of the most expensive Multistrada to date. The bike is a sports bike on stilts and the engine, suspension and wheels are a testament to that. Here is a look at the bike through images.
The design of the Multistrada V4 RS is much like that of a standard bike when it comes to most bodywork. But that is where the similarities end. The RS gets a dedicated, Iceberg White paint job. The red accents all around are also tastefully executed. Even the single-sided swingarm is a nice, sporty touch.
A 1,103cc, Desmosedici Stradale powers the bike. It develops 180bhp at 12,250rpm and 118Nm at 9,500rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox.
The Multistrada V4 RS comes with a pretty comprehensive electronics suite. There’s multi-level traction control, ride modes and power modes.
There is an aluminium monocoque chassis under the bodywork while suspension duties are taken care of by an Ohlins fork and a monoshock. Both of these suspension units are fully adjustable.
Braking duties are taken care of by 330mm discs at the front with Brembo Stylema calipers. At the rear, there is a 265mm disc with a two-piston Brembo caliper.
In terms of competition, the Multistrada V4 RS goes up against the BMW M 1000 XR.
