- Teased on Ducati India’s social media handles
- Powered by a 1,103cc, Desmosedici Stradale V4
- Will rival the BMW M 1000 XR
Ducati India has teased its upcoming offering, the Multistrada V4 RS, on its social media handles. This hints at an official debut around the corner. The bike has already been listed on Ducati India’s official website and here is what we know about it.
The Ducati Multistrada V4 RS will be the fourth offering in its lineup and also the most powerful one. It packs the same motor as the Streetfighter and the Panigale V4 – a 1,103cc, Desmosedici Stradale V4 that makes 180bhp at 12,250rpm and 118Nm at 9,500rpm. The motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox and gets a quickshifter.
The Multistrada V4 RS is loaded with electronics including power modes (Full, High, Medium, and Low), traction control, wheelie control, engine brake control, and four ride modes (Race, Sport, Touring, and Urban), and a Full Power Mode for maximum output.
Even visually, the Multistrada V4 RS looks different compared to the other Multistrada trims. This one looks sportier with the white and red paint schemes and the RS livery on the sides. That said, the bodywork for the RS is largely similar to its siblings.
The Multistrada V4’s engine is packed inside an aluminum monocoque chassis. The setup is further suspended on electronically adjustable Ohlins suspension at both ends. The braking duties are done by twin 330mm discs with Brembo Stylema callipers and 265mm unit at the rear with a Brembo two-piston calliper. These are mounted on 17-inch Marchesini forged aluminium rims.
We think Ducati could price the Multistrada V4 RS around Rs. 32 lakh. Once launched, it will rival the BMW M 1000 XR.
