Ducati has taken the wraps off the new Multistrada V4 RS. It is the most advanced and powerful ADV from the Italian two-wheeler maker. The RS trim boasts a bunch of upgrades over the remaining variants in the Multistrada V4 line. Here’s a list of all of those.
Ducati has equipped the Multistrada V4 RS with a 1,103 Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine. This is the same motor used for the Panigale and Streetfighter line-up. For reference, the other Multistrada models are powered by a Granturismo motor. The new RS model makes 180bhp and 119Nm, unlike the standard Multistrada V4’s 170bhp and 125Nm. The motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox and gets Ducati’s STM Evo-SBK dry clutch. It also benefits from a bi-directional quickshifter.
Even the suspension on the top-spec Multistrada V4 is just as premium. It rides on an Ohlins fully adjustable front fork with titanium nitride treatment and an Ohlins TTX36 fully adjustable monoshock. The front end gets 330mm dual front discs, while the rear is fitted with a single 265mm disc. These are mounted on 17-inch forged Marchesini alloys wrapped in Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV Corsa tyres.
Elsewhere, Ducati has equipped the Multistrada V4 with a carbon-fibre front fender, beak, and hand guards, which are specifically designed for the RS. Ducati has also employed a new titanium subframe on this model. Additionally, the V4 RS gets a new compact battery for weight reduction. The list of rider aids on the Multistrada V4 RS includes four power modes (Full, High, Medium, and Low), traction control, wheelie control, engine brake control, and four ride modes (Race, Sport, Touring, and Urban). The V4 RS also gets a Full Power Mode, which is new to the Multistrada range.
As of now, the Ducati Multistrada V4 RS has been introduced in the international market. It is priced at USD 37,995 (approximately Rs. 31.58 lakh, sans taxes). We expect the bike to be introduced in India soon.
