- Ducati Multistrada V4 India launch tomorrow
- To be offered in two variants
- Is likely to be priced from Rs 20 lakh
Ducati is scheduled to launch the Multistrada V4 in India tomorrow, 22 July. The pre-bookings for the motorcycle have already commenced and we can expect details about the deliveries to be announced post the launch. Now, the Multistrada V4 is the Italian bike maker’s flagship adventure-touring motorcycle. It is available in three versions internationally- V4, V4 S and V4 S Sport. Although, we can expect the standard and S to be offered in our country.
The Multistrada V4 is powered by a 1158cc, liquid-cooled V4 engine that is capable of churning out 168bhp at 10,000rpm and 125Nm at 8750rpm. However, the top-spec V4 S gets equipment like cornering lights, vehicle hold control and the electronically adjustable Ducati Skyhook suspension.
All of these are an add-on to the ‘standard’ version that is fitted with cornering ABS, wheelie control, traction control and various ride modes. It also gets a full-colour TFT with the Ducati Multimedia System.
As for styling, the Multistrada V4 retains the familiar look of the Multistrada family with the beak and twin LED headlamps. And compared to the previous Multi 1260, the V4 looks meaner and even has revised proportions and compactness. The standard Multistrada V4 is available in Red while the V4 S can be bought in Red and Aviator Grey colours.
When it comes to pricing, we can expect Ducati India to retail the Multistrada V4 between Rs 20-22 lakh (ex-showroom). It will take on the BMW R1250 GS in the country that was recently launched at Rs 21.20 lakh.
