Ducati has officially revealed the new Monster 821, which is the latest model to join the brand’s iconic Monster range of naked motorcycles. Set to replace the existing Monster 796, this new model comes in as a middle weight motorcycle. Ducati has revealed that it will start selling the new Monster 821 from July 2014 onwards.
Following the unveiling of the Monster 1200 at the Milan International Motorcycle show in November last year, Ducati has now introduced the Monster 821 which features a 821cc V-Twin engine producing 112bhp of power. Although it takes a lot of inspiration from the flagship 1200 version, the new Monster 821 can be differentiated by its double-sided swingarm, downgraded Brembo brakes and different exhaust pipes.
Besides the standard model, Ducati will also introduce the Monster 821 Dark version finished in dark stealth paint with black frame and black wheels. The latter will be available from July onwards in Europe. The standard Monster 821, meanwhile, will be sold in Ducati red with red frame and black wheels or star white silk with red frame and matte red wheels.
