Ducati has finally made its official presence in India, by starting its operations through an Indian subsidiary.
The Italian manufacturer has started the Indian operations with three showrooms – Gurgaon, Mumbai and Delhi, with Gurgaon being the largest Ducati showroom in Asia. Along with sales, the company will offer after-sales service through these dealerships. Ducati also plans to open a showroom in Bangalore, however, the timelines for the same were not given.
Ducati will offer its entire range in the Indian market, where most of them are being imported from their Thailand facility via the completely-built-up (CBU) route. The recently unveiled Scrambler along with the Monster will drive majority of the sales for the company. The company is making sure that its service quality meets the international standards and has been training its employees for the same.
“Our intention was to open in India with an official Ducati presence only when we were absolutely ready. I can now confirm that our after-sales service centres will ensure exactly the same high standards achieved across Ducati’s global network. We really appreciate the efforts put in by AMP and Infinity in setting up these world class dealerships in record time,” said Ravi Avalur, MD, Ducati India.
We are awaiting official prices from Ducati India. Stay tuned.
