Preparing to introduce its new small displacement model, Ducati has officially teased the 2015 Scrambler, a motorcycle that harks back to a series of single cylinder Scrambler motorcycles designed in the 1960′s and 1970′s for the American market.
Following years of rumours and speculation around the project, Ducati has finally confirmed the existence of the Scrambler. The brand even gave its Bologna factory employees a sneak peek of the motorcycle; with a private viewing of the prototype model.
As yet no official images have been released as the employees were not allowed to take photographs of the motorcycle which was placed inside a large yellow container, but Ducati confirms the new Scrambler will break cover before the end of this year and will go on sale in Europe from early 2015.
Not much is known about the product positioning or the pricing of the Scrambler, but we expect Ducati to manufacture this new model at its Thailand facility. This could allow the Italian brand to price it aggressively and in line with rest of the upcoming small displacement bikes from rivalling brands like Triumph.
