- Will replace the Panigale 959
- Launch date yet to be announced
- Draws styling cues from Panigale V4
Select Ducati dealerships have started to accept the pre-bookings for the upcoming Panigale V2 ahead of its Indian launch. Ducati India is yet to announce a launch date, although the motorcycle should arrive very soon.
The new Panigale V2 will replace the Panigale 959 in the bike maker’s portfolio. The latest iteration of the middleweight supersport segment product from Ducati draws styling cues from its bigger sibling, the Panigale V4. Thus, the motorcycle comes equipped with twin headlamp setup with eyebrow-like LED DRLs, sharp lines across its main fairing, sculpted fuel tank and high-set raked tail section.
In terms of mechanical specifications, the Panigale V2 uses a 955cc, V-twin Superquadro engine that produces 150.7bhp of power at 10,750rpm and 104Nm of torque at 9,000rpm. The motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox.
Expect the new Panigale V2 to carry a price premium over the Panigale 959. The outgoing model was priced at Rs 14.74 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Once launched, the motorcycle will rival the KawasakiNinja ZX-6R in the Indian market.
