- Panigale V2 recalled
- Issue over the headlight
- Software update will be issued
Ducati has recalled quite a few Panigale V2s in the United States. This recall has been done to fix the headlight issue that has come up in many motorcycles.
According to the recall report, an incorrect software setting could activate the daytime running lights at night, affecting the rider’s night riding experience as the headlight may not produce enough light. This could increase the risk of a crash.
Earlier this year, many Ducati owners complained about an issue with the instrument cluster. Whenever the backlight setting for the cluster was in Auto mode, the system would sometime activate daytime mode at night. This issue was due to a software calibration error.
Currently, 3315 motorcycles have been affected, and the owners will soon receive a call from the brand regarding the recall. Ducati will install a new software version free of charge. However, they are advising the affected owners to use the low beam to check for proper illumination. Currently, there is no information on whether Ducati India will also be issuing a recall in India.
