The newly launched Ducati Panigale V2 has started to arrive at the dealerships in India. The new Panigale V2, which replaces the Panigale 959, has been priced at Rs 16.99 lakh. In comparison, the Panigale 959 was priced at Rs 15.3 lakh. Ducati India had commenced the bookings for the motorcycle in July this year.
The BS6-compliant 955cc, twin-cylinder motor on the Panigale V2 is tuned to produce 152.8bhp of peak power at 10,750rpm and 104Nm of maximum torque at 9,000rpm. In comparison, the Panigale 959 made 145.3bhp and 102Nm. The motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox, and it benefits from a bi-directional quick shifter.
In terms of design, the Panigale V2 draws styling cues from the litre-class Panigale V4 superbike. The motorcycle packs twin headlamp setup with LED DRLs, sharp lines across the main fairing, sculpted fuel tank, single-sided swingarm and high-set raked tail section.
The feature list comprises of 4.3-inch TFT display, traction control system, cornering ABS, engine brake control and wheelie control. The hardware on the motorcycle includes 43mm Showa Big Piston Forks at the front and side-mounted Sachs mono-shock at the rear – both fully adjustable – to perform the suspension duties. The anchoring setup includes twin disc at the front and a single rotor at the back along with Brembo callipers at both ends.
