- Panigale V4-inspired styling
- Powered by 955cc L-twin motor
- Likely to be priced around Rs 16 lakh
Ducati is set to launch the Panigale V2 in India tomorrow, 26 August.
The Panigale V2 is a replacement for the Panigale 959 which was priced at Rs 14.74 lakh. Hence, we can expect the V2 to be priced around Rs 15.5-16 lakh. The Ducati Panigale V2’s most interesting aspect is its styling that has been inspired by its bigger sibling, the Panigale V4. It sports aggressive-looking twin-pod LED headlamps with LED DRLs housed in a sharp fairing. Similar to the V4, the V2 gets a single-sided swingarm which lends it a clean look.
Powering the Panigale V2 is a 955cc, L-twin, Superquadro mill which churns out 155bhp and 104Nm. This motor comes mated to a six-speed gearbox and a bi-directional quick shifter. Ducati has equipped the motorcycle with electronic aids like a 4.3-inch TFT screen, traction control, cornering ABS, engine brake control, wheelie control and three riding modes. The hardware includes Showa forks up front, a Sachs monoshock at the rear and Brembo brakes.
The Ducati Panigale V2 will face competition from the inline-four powered Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R in the country.
