- Top-spec Panigale V4 Superleggera to be unveiled soon
- Is 11kg lighter and has a 4bhp increase in power
- To be unveiled sometime soon
Ducati is working on a top-spec Panigale V4 Superleggera, leaked documents from Europe suggest. The documents also reveal a few details of the Panigale V4 Superleggera. It will use the same 998cc, V4 engine from the Panigale V4R instead of the 1103cc motor from the other versions. Now the V4 Superleggera will produce 221bhp; a 3.6bhp increase over the V4R which could be due to the titanium aftermarket exhaust it is likely to come with.
The V4 Superleggera, like previous models, could also get a track-only ECU setting to unravel even more power from the engine. We could be looking at numbers around 240bhp. That’s not all; the motorcycle is also likely to come with carbon fibre wheels and is expected to be nearly 11kg lighter than the V4R’s kerb weight of 193kg.
Moreover, since the documents reveal that the bike is slightly taller and wider, it could sport a different visor and redesigned winglets. Ducati is expected to globally unveil the Panigale V4 Superleggera sometime soon. The bike is likely to be introduced in India a few months after in limited numbers.
