Ducati will officially unveil the highly-awaited superbike powered by the Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine on 5 November this year. The bike named the Panigale V4 will be Ducati’s first four-cylinder production motorcycle.
An earlier spy shot of the bike, taken while testing at a circuit, has given us an idea of what it would look like. Now a better image of the bike has surfaced on the internet. The picture clearly shows the ‘Panigale V4’ badging on the fairing. Although the design is drastically different from other older Panigales, there are, nevertheless, marginal changes. The Panigale V4 gets deeper headlamp recesses which will incorporate the airducts. It also gets more cuts on its beefy fairing for a more aggressive look along with a differently styled tail unit and front mudguard. The image also reveals that the bike gets a Ohlins suspension setup at the rear.
The Panigale V4 will use the 1103cc V4 which delivers 210bhp and 120Nm of torque with a more track focused ‘R’ version lined-up next. While the V4 will be unveiled in November, the bike will go on sale next year and will compete against the Aprilia RSV4.
We can expect the bike to reach Indian shores a few months after its global launch.
