The top-of-the-line Ducati Scrambler is now on sale in India, with prices starting at Rs 10.91 lakhs (ex-showroom). Called the Scrambler 1100, the motorcycle is available in three trims – standard, Sport and Special. Here is a photo gallery of the Ducati Scrambler 1100 –
The Ducati Scrambler 1100 has taken a ‘don’t fix it, if it ain’t broke’ approach towards styling, carrying over the profile and major cues from the smaller Scramblers.
However, it does get a new headlamp with an LED ring, underseat exhaust system, a different set of wheels and unique paint schemes.
The offset instrument console gets a very quirky layout. There are two digital displays which also integrate TC and ABS settings along with a trip computer.
There are more significant changes under the skin. It is built around a new steel trellis frame with a steeper steering rake to improve agility.
At the heart of the Scrambler 1100 is a 1079cc Desmodue L-twin engine, which churns out 85bhp and 88Nm of torque through a six-speed transmission.
The Scrambler 1100 gets a four level traction control system, cornering ABS and three riding modes - Active (85bhp), Journey (85bhp) and City (74bhp).
The standard Scrambler 1100 and Special ride on fully-adjustable 45mm Marzocchi inverted front forks and a Kayaba rear monoshock with adjustable preload and rebound.
The Sport gets higher-spec fully-adjustable Ohlins setup, with 48mm inverted front forks and a rear monoshock with adjustable preload and rebound.
The brake setup consists of Brembo monobloc callipers with dual 330mm discs at the front and a two-piston Brembo calliper at the rear with a 245mm disc.
The standard Scrambler 1100 is available in two paint schemes – yellow and black, with black frame and wheels. It is priced at Rs 10.91 lakhs.
The Scrambler 1100 Special gets a custom grey paint, spoke wheels, chrome exhaust, a brown seat, and aluminium front and rear fenders. It will set you back by Rs 11.12 lakhs.
The Scrambler 1100 Sport gets a black paint scheme with yellow pinstripes and machined aluminium wheels. It retails at Rs 11.42 lakhs.
All prices are ex-showroom.
