Ducati India has confirmed via its social media channels that it will soon launch a BS6-compliant Scrambler motorcycle in the country. While Ducati has not revealed the launch date, the company has confirmed that it is “around the corner”.
The teaser photograph only shows the headlight of the upcoming motorcycle. However, after editing, the photograph reveals a silver fuel tank with yellow stripes, which hints that we could see the Scrambler 1100 Pro in the Indian market very soon.
The motorcycle features a retro-design that’s complemented by full-LED lighting, an asymmetrically mounted digital instrument cluster, a tall-set exhaust setup and a tubular steel frame with an aluminium rear frame.
Mechanical specifications include a Euro5-compliant, air-and oil-cooled, 1,079cc, L-twin engine that makes 83.5bhp of maximum power at 7,250rpm and 90.5Nm of peak torque at 4,750 rpm. The motor is linked to a six-speed transmission.
The hardware comprises of fully-adjustable, 45mm Marzocchi upside-down forks at the front and a preload and rebound adjustable Kayaba mono-shock at the back. The braking setup includes twin 320mm discs at the front and a 245mm rotor at the back. The electronic system includes Ride by Wire throttle, three riding modes, Bosch ABS and Ducati Traction Control (DTC).
