- Ducati likely to also launch Scrambler 1100 Sport Pro
- Powered by 1079cc, L-Twin engine
- Prices expected to start around Rs 11.5 lakh
Ducati is scheduled to launch the Scrambler 1100 Pro in India on 22 September. It is also likely to launch the top-spec Scrambler 1100 Sport Pro on the same day.
The Ducati Scrambler 1100 Pro has the same design silhouette as its smaller 803cc siblings. It gets a retro-style, round full-LED headlamp, and asymmetrically mounted instrument cluster although the twin under-seat exhausts set it apart from its younger sibling. While Ducati is offering the 1100 Pro in an Ocean Drive colour option, the Scrambler 1100 Pro Sport is available in a Matt Black paint. It even gets bar-end mirrors and a tan brown seat to complete its custom look.
However, the differences between the two models are more than just cosmetic. The 1100 Pro is equipped with 45mm Marzochhi forks and a monoshock sourced from Kayaba. On the other hand, the Pro Sport boasts of Ohlins suspension at both ends. Nevertheless, both models use Brembo Monobloc M4 calipers for braking.
Powering the Ducati Scrambler 1100 Pro and Pro Sport is a 1,079cc, L-twin engine that produces 83.5bhp at 7,250rpm and 90.5Nm of torque at 4,750rpm. The motor is mated to a six-speed transmission. The electronics on both models are also similar and include Ride by Wire throttle, three riding modes, Bosch ABS and Ducati Traction Control. We can expect the prices to start at Rs 11.5 lakh for the Scrambler 1100 Pro and go up to Rs 11.8 lakh for the Pro Sport.
