- Borrows styling from the Scrambler Icon.
- Powered by a 1079cc, L-Twin engine.
- Expected to be priced between Rs 11 lakhs to Rs 12 lakhs.
The Ducati Scrambler 1100 is scheduled to arrive on Indian shores tomorrow. It is likely to be priced around Rs 11 lakhs to Rs 12 lakhs.
While the bike is offered in three variants- standard, Sport and Special internationally, Ducati is likely to get only the former two to India. The Scrambler 1100 heavily borrows styling cues from the smaller Scrambler Icon. However, the dual underseat exhaust, and extensive use of aluminum components set it apart from its younger sibling. The Scrambler 1100 Sport gets performance enhancing components like Ohlins suspension on both ends, Termignoni exhausts and aluminium wheels. It also gets a black paint with yellow highlights to distinguish it from the other variants.
Powering the bike is a 1079cc, L-Twin engine that puts out 86bhp and 88.4Nm of torque. This unit is mated to a six speed gearbox and slipper clutch. The bike's electronic package includes three riding modes, a five-level traction control system and an inertial measurement unit (IMU) with cornering ABS.
The Ducati Scrambler 1100 will face competition from the BMW R NineT Scrambler and Moto Guzzi Griso 1200 8V SE in India.
